Welcome to "Kornloftet", a beautiful 110m2 home in 2 storeys built in the old barn at Frishøjgaard Kornloftet is located 400 m from the sea and furnished with care and respect for the original atmosphere – this is a truly special holiday home. This is the place for adult guests who really want peace, quality time in beautiful surroundings and lovely nature with wonderful walks and cycling trips. Children over 12 years are welcome. Here there is silence and no street lights disturbing the night sky! There is a private undisturbed garden and 2 terraces with various garden furniture. The home: The aim of this truly unique home in the over 100-year-old barn has been to create a refuge for adult guests, an oasis of peace from the hectic demands of everyday life. Here are many original details, old wooden floors, exposed roof beams, old gable windows, genuine carpets and original art on the walls. The home is top-renovated with high quality in a very careful manner to preserve the place's charm and spirit. From the hallway both on the ground floor and on the first floor there is full view through large mullioned windows into the old barn where the farm's machinery and roughage are stored. A handmade staircase in old country style leads up to the cosy, bright rooms and a new functional kitchen with dining area. In one room there are 2 comfortable sofa groups, TV with Chromecast and internet radio and a sleeping section with a double bed. From the balcony door you have a view through the avenue of very old trees towards the sea and sit cosily in front of the French balcony, almost up in the trees "together with the birds". Just the place to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine! From the other room there is a view over the farmyard with half-timbered stables, the beautifully laid out riding arena and a small fruit plantation. Here the double bed can be divided into 2 single beds if desired. In the beautiful large bathroom in French country style on the ground floor there is plenty of space and underfloor heating. The adjoining garden is completely private and has both garden furniture and a grill. In addition to the garden there are 2 terraces to the home, one south-facing with windbreak walls, garden furniture and a view over the water and one west-facing with a bench and small tables where the afternoon and evening sun can be enjoyed. There is own free parking for 2 cars. The home is furnished in an over 100-year-old existing building, logistically it has unfortunately not been possible to furnish for small children and babies and we therefore cannot accept families with small children. We of course accept families with children from 12 years! Guest access: Our lovely holiday home incl. garden, terraces and parking is entirely at our guests' disposal. The home does not have a charging point for electric cars but in the middle of the island Fejø Kro has electric car charging points.
