Welcome to Rylereden – A Charming Holiday Home by Tornby Beach. Experience the magic of waking up to the sound of the North Sea’s waves, surrounded by dunes and sunlight, in this unique tiny house. Rylereden is a listed holiday cottage from the 1930s, carefully restored and preserved in its original style. Here, you will enjoy an authentic encounter with Denmark’s West Coast and the raw beauty of North Jutland – an ideal setting for a peaceful and restorative holiday.

Interior – Simple and Charming. Rylereden is tastefully furnished with an emphasis on simplicity and natural beauty. The house accommodates up to four guests. At its heart is a large wooden dining table, providing the perfect gathering place for cosy meals. Adjacent to it is a comfortable daybed, which functions both as a sofa and as a double bed for two. A smaller room features two bunk beds along with a built-in wardrobe for convenient storage.

The compact toilet with a washbasin is located at the rear of the house and can only be accessed from the outside. The shower is outdoors, shielded for privacy, allowing you to enjoy a warm bath surrounded by dunes and with views of the vast natural landscape.

Despite its historical origins, the house is well insulated and heated by electric radiators. The large mullioned windows let in ample daylight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the year.
 

Sleeping Arrangements

Bedroom: 4 sleeping spaces (2 x bunk beds, 90x200 cm each)
Daybed in the living room (sleeping space for 2 – French bed, 120x200 cm)
 

Outdoor Area

Wake up, wrap yourself in your robe, open the front door, and step directly into the soft sand and surrounding dunes. The house is beautifully situated in a natural hollow, sheltered from the wind and bathed in sunlight. Outside, you can enjoy your morning coffee at the wooden table while watching the waves roll in from the North Sea. Later, relax with a good book in the hammock, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the sea.

In the evening, take in the stunning sunset – a moment where the sky transforms in colour as night gradually falls over the landscape.

Please note that it is not possible to park directly at the cottage. However, the designated parking area is just a one-minute walk away, ensuring easy access to and from Rylereden.

Activities and Experiences in the Area

Rylereden is located in Tornby – a region renowned for its endless sandy beaches and dramatic dune scenery. The nearby Tornby Dune Plantation offers a network of hiking trails, perfect for nature walks with your dog or mushroom picking during autumn.

Take a refreshing swim in the North Sea, try your hand at surfing the wild waves, or visit the coastal town of Lønstrup and the iconic Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse. Only five minutes away by car, Hirtshals offers excellent shopping opportunities and is home to Northern Europe's largest aquarium – an ideal excursion for rainy days. The cities of Aalborg and Skagen, known for their charming urban atmospheres and outstanding restaurants, are both within a 40-minute drive.
