There is 200 metres to the beach and 1.2 km to the shop in Vestervig.

The town of Hurup Thy (10 minutes by car) offers a pleasant pedestrian street with shops, supermarkets such as Lidl, Netto, Rema 1000 and Coop 365.

In Hurup Thy you will also find the beautiful SydThy Spa and swimming hall. The large swimming hall is for the whole family with plenty of water fun for all ages, while the spa offers peace, wellness and relaxation.

The summer house area Kærgården near Vestervig and Krik Vig is located in Nissum Bredning at the western end of the Limfjord.
Here the bathing water is calm and pleasant, and it is not far to the North Sea at Agger and the impressive Thy National Park.

There are shared facilities between the summer houses such as playground, bonfire hut, mini golf and ball court, which are available for free use.

The town of Vestervig itself is located just behind the summer houses. Here you will find shops, a couple of restaurants, several beautiful old buildings and Klosterparken with playground, training area, disc golf course and beautiful nature..

Most impressive is the church, which is located just outside the town. Vestervig Church is the largest village church in the Nordic countries, and thus in Denmark. The size is due to the fact that it was originally part of Vestervig Monastery.

The area around Kærgården and Vestervig is characterized by sandy beaches, lakes, lagoons and varied bird life, which thrives in the Limfjord. At the same time, the proximity to Thy National Park means there is much to experience for anglers, nature lovers, bird watchers and other active people. In Krik Vig, windsurfers and kitesurfers gather. Here there are good access conditions and shallow water.
