Good restaurants, fish shop at the harbour, a large and well-stocked Daglig Brugs and several ice cream parlours mean that both young and old can have most culinary needs met.
Not far to the Viking town Hobro, the deep Rold Forest (which previously housed both robbers and witches), the heather-clad Rebild Hills or Rosernes By, Mariager with Veteran Train, Salt Centre and sailing on Mariager Fjord.
