Welcome to Hellehuset – a charming and fully renovated half-timbered house with a thatched roof, located in the cozy village of Bybjerg on Orø. Here you get the special combination of authentic village idyll, modern comfort and the peaceful island atmosphere that makes your shoulders drop already upon arrival.
The house is furnished for two people and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. It features a heat pump, washing machine, wireless WiFi and TV with built-in Chromecast. A dog is very welcome, as long as it is not left alone in the house, and the house will be vacuumed for dog hair before departure.
The house has a cozy, enclosed courtyard garden, where the morning sun welcomes the day with a view of the church, and where the evening sun creates the perfect setting for long summer evenings of relaxation and presence.

Hellehuset is neighbour to the historic inn, the church and the old village school, which together form the framework of the vibrant village environment in Bybjerg.
The inn is a natural gathering point on the island and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Throughout the year, a number of cozy events are held such as music in the courtyard, communal dining, bingo and other activities for both islanders and visitors. Just behind the inn lies Stensbjergbakken, Orø's highest point. From here you can experience some of the island's most beautiful sunsets with views over the landscape and the fjord – an experience worth going for on a warm summer evening.

A stone's throw down the road you will also find Bings, which is a popular meeting place for both islanders and guests. Here you can – depending on season and opening hours – buy fresh morning bread, enjoy a good lunch or dinner. Bings contributes to the more modern village atmosphere in Bybjerg and makes it easy to pamper yourself on your holiday.

Orø is a gem in the middle of the Isefjord and is often called "the little island that has it all". Here you will find natural beach, beautiful forest, cozy farm shops, craftspeople, good restaurants and an active local community.
