From the house there is walking distance to a child-friendly beach as well as the campsite with ice cream shop, playground and restaurant. Orøstrand Zoo and several local restaurants are also nearby, which makes excursions easy.

The area has a special tranquility and a charming eastern atmosphere that creates an immersive holiday experience. In the summer months, the little Orø train stops at the end of the road, and it gives both children and adults a cosy way to experience the island's attractions. Orø harbour is easily reached on foot, from where the ferry to Holbæk sails and opens up more activities, restaurants and the opportunity to rent water bikes.
