Buevej 2, Søby Ærø

Welcome to this cosy, older property on Ærø. The house is located at Buevej 2 and is an old farmhouse and therefore it is not perfect either, but it is a very charming and wonderful place to live and spend a holiday - located in the middle of Søby and there is a short distance to two beaches, shopping, culture etc. A lovely place with a few faults and shortcomings here and there.

The owner is an artist, and therefore as a guest you will also see the owner's own artworks throughout the house.

The house has been renovated with respect for the old structure, therefore many recycled elements have been used. All furniture has been purchased specifically for the house – and everything is either antique or second-hand.

Not many things have been changed in the house, as they still function - perhaps not as well as brand new, but they function. This also applies to the electrical appliances, which are a bit old, but work, as does the bathtub. The owner believes in using the appliances for as long as possible to save resources.

All in all, the effort has been to create a house that is as pleasant as possible, but also as sustainable as possible. The house has nothing wrong with it, but has a few cosmetic flaws.

Everything is checked and works in the house - and remember it is also a very cheap house to rent - and it is also cheap because the costs are low due to the way the owner has organized the house.
There is only a wood-burning stove and a couple of electric radiators if it should get chilly.

If you wish to live sustainably, cosily, close to beach and nature, as well as centrally in the metropolis Søby, then this holiday home is the right place for you.
There is only room for parking two cars.
