Description
Lodshuset – holiday, celebration and leisure activities
This large holiday home of 340 m2 offers quite special possibilities, as there is room for as many as 33 people. As the name suggests, the house originally functioned as a residence for a pilot and his family.
The house is a former camp school. It is not a modern luxury house, but rather a slightly upgraded version of a camp school. Do not expect a luxury house.
HOUSE LAYOUT. See the floor plan in the photo:
Kitchen with 30 dining places (an air-to-air heat pump hangs here). Living room on the ground floor with an additional 8-10 dining places, sofa arrangements and TV. The kitchen is equipped for cooking for many and has a gas stove, industrial oven and dishwasher. The kitchen is in open connection with the common room. A high chair is available.
Activity room (room 5) with pool table, darts and table football (plus heat pump no. 2). Living room on the 1st floor of approximately 80 m2. Can be used as a course/teaching room. There is a table tennis table, sofa arrangements/wicker furniture, TV and PlayStation (plus heat pump no. 3).
Room 1. 2 bunk beds 2 single/1 double = 6 sleeping places
Room 2. 2 bunk beds = 4 sleeping places
Room 3. 2 bunk beds = 4 sleeping places
Room 4. 3 bunk beds 1 double = 8 sleeping places
Room 5. Activity room (pool table, darts and table football)
Room 6. 2 bunk beds 2 single/1 double = 6 sleeping places
Room 7. 3 single 1 double / 2 double 1 single = 5 sleeping places
That is, there are 33 bed places (11 regular bed places and 22 bunk bed places). Plus a guest bed for free placement and extra mattresses that can be laid on the floor.
There are 2 large bathrooms each with two toilets, a shower and 7 sinks, so there is a bit of camp school atmosphere here. There is also a washing machine available. Room 1 and 6 are (as the only ones) through rooms if you need to get to one of the two large bathrooms. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet located by the staircase to the 1st floor.
The house has a lovely location on a 7,740 m2 plot with both a bonfire area and a ball field. There is a lovely, large terrace facing west of 50 m2 with garden furniture and charcoal grill and also a terrace facing south of 40 m2. There are 43 chairs and 3 large garden tables.
Here you can hold family celebrations, birthdays or just a different kind of holiday, as there is room for several families and/or friends at the same time. You can also bring 2 pets. There is free internet and also PC/gaming console. The house is heated by a combination of electric heating and heat pumps.
There are parking spaces on the property.
At the marina there is an outdoor sauna with fjord views. The tenants of the Pilot House have free access to the sauna. It is wood-fired, and firewood is available at the sauna. It should be lit approximately 1 hour before use. Jump into the blue waves and finish with a lovely sauna session where you can enjoy the beautiful view over the fjord.
The house is located on Djursland in Udbyhøj Syd at the mouth of Randers Fjord in the Kattegat. The village is surrounded by lovely beaches and is an attractive holiday home area. Several times daily the ferry sails the four-minute journey across the fjord between Udbyhøj Syd and Udbyhøj Nord. The ferry is different from most, as it is cable-drawn and propelled by two winches. Definitely worth experiencing. From the new 48-meter long T-shaped bathing pier there are ample opportunities for swimming, fishing and mooring canoes and kayaks.
