Description
Fantastic villa in Stockholm's archipelago!
Manor-like villa on Vindö in Stockholm's outer archipelago. Here you live directly east of Stockholm with access via the beautiful and well-known islands Värmdö and Djurö. Stockholm city centre is approximately 50 minutes' drive away (70 minutes by bus). A bus stop to Stockholm is just 300 metres from the house. Two motorboats, wood-fired sauna, many bicycles and free Wi-Fi are included.
This spacious villa offers everything a larger group could wish for – and more. There are as many as 18 fixed sleeping places distributed across 6 bedrooms plus 5 extra camp beds. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor and three on the first floor.
The sleeping places consist of bunk beds, single beds and five extra camp beds.
Two boats with outboard motors are included. Fuel is purchased separately according to the owner's instructions. The archipelago has deep water and many skerries and rocks, so experience with boating is recommended. Sea fishing with rod and line is free, and the area offers good fishing opportunities.
If you enjoy cycling, you will appreciate the many bicycles available. Normally there are around 12 bicycles.
The villa is situated as the last house on a private road with no through traffic, which provides peace and quiet. The lush grounds have lawns and terraces totalling approximately 350 m². Here you will also find a wood-fired sauna and a wood-fired wilderness bath. There are plenty of garden furniture as well as both charcoal and gas grills. There is also a large, glazed outdoor room with gas heating, which makes the stay pleasant on cool or rainy days.
The grounds border a bird lake, where a small rowing boat is moored at a private jetty.
The sea with bathing and boating opportunities is only approximately 300 metres away. About 1.5 km from the house you will find a larger bathing beach with sandy beach, cliffs and a diving tower. The area is also known for good fishing for sea trout and pike.
A couple of smaller restaurants are within cycling or driving distance, and the nearest grocery shop is approximately 1 km away.
For guests with extensive experience at sea, it may be possible to rent a larger motorboat or Day Cruiser directly from the owner.
On the ground floor there is a large entrance with wood-burning stove, a spacious living room with fireplace, a very large and well-equipped kitchen with many seating places, a large bathroom with toilet, corner bathtub and shower, a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and three bedrooms.
On the first floor there is a combined library and sitting room, a bathroom with toilet and shower, the largest bedroom with space for 4-7 people and wood-burning stove, and two further bedrooms. Up here there is also a cosy balcony.
Djurö centre offers a grocery shop, restaurants, bathing beach, mini golf, pharmacy service and petrol station. From Stavsnäs Harbour ferries sail to several of the archipelago's islands, including Sandhamn.
All rooms are furnished with antique furniture that suits the villa's style. There are two cots for the youngest guests. For safety reasons, all rooms are equipped with smoke alarms, and there are five fire extinguishers in the villa.
