There are 800 metres to the fjord, where you can swim, fish or simply take a quiet walk along the water. A short walk takes you to the cable ferry to Orø, which offers great opportunities for small adventures and pleasant outings on your own or with the family.

The area around the house contains everything many seek in a holiday in Denmark. Here are open vistas, fjord landscapes and small paths that wind through the hills. Orø, which is reached in a few minutes, is a charming destination with cafés, small harbours and island atmosphere. Here you can also bring your bicycle and explore at a leisurely pace.

Hammer Bakker is at the same time a good starting point for longer day trips to the north side of the fjord, Holbæk or Nationalpark Skjoldungernes Land. There is both nature, culture and proximity to city life – without detracting from the peaceful holiday feeling.
